School Hut-Uhuru-Millennium Camp

Summit day on Mount Kilimanjaro is the pinnacle of the journey, a moment of both physical and mental triumph. From School Hut, climbers begin their ascent in the early morning hours, under the stars' glow and the crisp night air. The route through the Northern Circuit is steep and demanding, but the thrill of the challenge and the anticipation of reaching the summit drive them forward. Following a short rest, they continue around the rim toward Stella Point (5,756 meters), where the views become even more spectacular, with the morning sun casting a golden glow on the mountain's icy landscapes. Climbers retrace their steps to Stella Point and descend to Barafu Camp. The descent is faster but requires careful footing on the steep, loose terrain. At Barafu Camp, climbers rest and enjoy a well-earned brunch, replenishing their energy before continuing the descent to their final campsite, Millennium Camp. The trail to Millennium Camp is a transition from the barren high-altitude desert to the lush vegetation of the moorland zone. Upon arrival at Millennium Camp (3,820 meters), climbers are surrounded by greenery and a sense of accomplishment. The camp provides a more comfortable and serene environment, where they can rest, share stories of the summit, and prepare for the final day of their Kilimanjaro adventure.
