Shira II Camp

As they continue along the Lemosho Route, climbers depart from Shira 1 Camp. Shortly after leaving, they detour to the impressive Shira Cathedral, a prominent ridge offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the towering peaks of Kilimanjaro. This brief stop allows the group to appreciate the breathtaking scenery before continuing their journey. After several hours of hiking, they arrive at Shira 2 Camp, situated at an elevation of about 3,850 meters. The camp is nestled on the Shira Plateau, surrounded by dramatic rock formations and expansive views of the mountain. It features grassy areas for tents and a backdrop of striking Shira cones, creating a picturesque setting for climbers to relax. As the sun sets, the camp becomes a tranquil haven, with the evening sky casting a warm glow over the majestic landscape, preparing the group for the next day's adventure.
