This family trip will take you to places such as Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National park, Ngorongoro Crater and Arusha.

Itinerary

Day 1

As soon as you arrive at the airport, our representatives will meet you at the airport and escort you to a Mount Meru Game Lodge in Arusha. It’s a night of rest in preparation for several days of interesting activities.

Day 2-3 Tarangire National Park

For the next two days, your destination is the Tarangire National Park where you and your family will experience your first thrilling glimpse of true African wildlife. Watch lions as they bask in the sun, as leopards dash across the savannah and the zebra lap water from the pond. Look forward to the next event which is one of the kid’s favorite as we visit the nearby lodge for a dip in the pool where the elephants have been spotted drinking water. You and your family will retire for the day and spend the nights at Tarangire Nyumbas and prepare to visit other tourist places.

Day 4-5 Ngorongoro Crater

While on the morning drive to Ngorongoro Crater, we’ll stop at a local school to enable your kids meet Tanzanian children and make friends. Thereafter, you and your family will enjoy a hearty lunch at Gibb’s Farm just before proceeding with the journey. As soon as we’re at the night’s camp which is positioned at the crater’s rim, you’ll get the chance to settle in and hear an amazing story about the history of the volcanic caldera, your tour guide will provide you with this information.

The next day, early in the morning, you’ll descend 2,000 feet below the camp to the crater’s floor. It promises to be a day filled with excitement because it’s a 10-mile wide crater that’s home to the densest concentration of wildlife on the African continent. You can make a game of who can spot the greatest variety of animals. Enjoy a well-deserved rest at Ngorongoro Nyumba as you prepare for the next day’s exciting experience.

Day 6-7 Serengeti National Park

Your next stop is the Serengeti National Park and along the way, you’ll stop at Olduvai Gorge which is also referred to as “the Cradle of Mankind”. No doubt, your three days in the Serengeti are rich with wildlife viewing. Spot cheetah, lions, warthogs, and crocodiles making use of the tracking skills that your expert tour guide will teach you and in the evening, return to the camp and enjoy some traditional Tanzanian games, sharing stories with fellow travelers while sitting around the campfire.

You can also join an optional hot-air balloon ride and take in sweeping views of the Serengeti from several feet above the ground. (Minimum height and age is 4ft and 7 years, however, advanced reservations and additional fees apply). The night will be spent in Serengeti Nyumba.

Day 8 Departure

Say goodbye to the vast plains of the Serengeti as you fly back to Arusha and enjoy shopping for some final souvenirs that will remind you of those beautiful moments and prepare for a flight back to your country.
